A couple of years ago I took my son to a Godsmack concert. I think my hearing has recovered.
I'll have to tell him about the significance of this. We left so long ago he won't know anything about the magazine. His band sounds a little like Godsmack.
Hi Jeff,
Very cool! Does your sons band have a cd out? Let me know.
In '99, I went to OZfest at the gorge in George, Wa. Saw Godsmack, Black Sabbath, Rob Zombie, Deftones, Static X, System Of A Down, Primus, and some others. Way cool show.

T.R. I've never heard of them, but they sound good!!!!
Do like all kinds of music. Do you like Metallica? The drumer of that band is supposed to be a ex-j.w. and the song *Unforgivin* is supposed to be about him being disfellowed shipped. Have you ever heard that? Tink =;o)
Tink,
Yes. Love Metallica. Didn't know that about Lars the drummer, though. Interesting. Unfortunately, I've never seen them in concert.

Who's the current drummer? I only listen to the "pre-poser" era Metallica, that being Master of Puppets and before..
Isn't Lars Ulrich still the drummer?

Probably, I stopped keeping track after Cliff Burton died - they were just not the same anymore..
Sure sounds like this could be referring to being DFd.....

New blood joins this earth
and quikly he's subdued
through constant pain disgrace
the young boy learns their rules
with time the child draws in
this whipping boy done wrong
deprived of all his thoughts
the young man struggles on and on he's known
a vow unto his own
that never from this day
his will they'll take away
what I've felt
what I've known
never shined through in what I've shown
never be
never see
won't see what might have been
what I've felt
what I've known
never shined through in what I've shown
never free
never me
so I dub thee unforgiven
they dedicate their lives
to running all of his
he tries to please them all
this bitter man he is
throughout his life the same
he's battled constantly
this fight he cannot win
a tired man they see no longer cares
the old man then prepares
to die regretfully
that old man here is me
what I've felt
what I've known
never shined through in what I've shown
never be
never see
won't see what might have been
what I've felt
what I've known
never shined through in what I've shown
never free
never me
so I dub thee unforgiven
you labeled me
I'll label you
so I dub thee unforgiven
Godsmack is the best! I saw them in concert as a JW with two of my friends (who ended up becoming MS's). I bought their first CD, but later gave it away because I found out that Sully (lead singer) was into Wicca.
I miss that CD...
I'd buy it again if I didn't already have the songs on my computer.
