Also, the song *Holier than thou* by Metallica makes me think of the j.w.'s.
That song rocks too!!!!
The more of Metallica's lyrics I read, the more I can see JW metaphor in them. No wonder Big Momma in Brooklyn doesn't want her babies listening to this stuff!
Love, Scully
Scully,
Wow, thats eerie.
Coincidence, maby not, huh?
I never paid attention to the words.

Watch out!
Maybe The W.T.S. has subliminal messages in Godsmack music and titles. New brainwashing technique.
TR
Band has a demo CD done. They have been playing some really small venue's here in the Seattle area, and have a bit of a following. They are in the process of tradmarking their name. As soon as that's done they are going to step up on the marketing. I'll keep you informed.
Tink - never heard the Lars Ulrich rumor you just suggested, I'd say it's suspect though I agree that lyrically "The Unforgiven" could refer to the pressure of being forced to fit the JW mould. Still, it's pretty general and could just as easily be taken to be about pressure to conform to some standard.
TR - Ever hear of Dream Theater? If not, check out a song called "The Glass Prison" for something that truly rocks. It should be available on any of the popular file-sharing apps.
Interesting aside - DT is on tour and has recently covered Metallica's "Master of Puppets" album in its entirety at special shows when playing a second night in a given city. I've got bootlegs. Completely kick-ass! At a Barcelona show, it was amazing to hear the audience *sing along to the entire album.* How that many natively Spanish speaking people knew all the words to a classic American metal album is beyond me, but incredible nonetheless.
i dont know about lars being an ex jw, but i do know that james hatfield was raised a christian scientist. this could explain some of the lyrics
Dude, you like Godsmack?! They've GOT to be my favorite band! If I had money, that CD would've been in my collection the day it came out.
I also find it very cool that Sully is a Wiccan.

I can't remember but either Lars Ulrich or James Hetfield lives in my town, I thought it was Lars but on second thought I'm pretty sure it's James. In any case, if the one that lives here is a witness I'm sure I would have heard about it, unless it's something that happend in the last few years.
Hey there. Godsmack is great. Awake isn't exactly a new cd though, it has been out for almost a year. I went and saw them in concert last summer, I ended up in a mosh pit, pretty crazy stuff...
