Finally! -- Why the WTS Discourages Higher Education

  Proverbs 14:17 " He that is quick to anger will commit foolishness, but the man of thinking abilities is hated."

  I think there is a reason behind so much anger and weeping and gnashing and name calling. It is because my sarcasm so eloquently exposes the absurdness and ridiculous of certain people's reasoning abilities. It is because they know deep down that something isn't right, but because they are so blinded by their hate for JW's, they will not allow themselves to believe otherwise.

  Notice no one has addressed any of my sarcastic points and offered a credible defense for Ms. Conti. Why? Because not even Ms. Conti could offer a reasonable and credible defense of her allegations.

  Why are you so quick to scrutinize every WT article and every experience in the WT publications, but you can't take a realistic view of this case? Why do you want JW's to "think for themselves" when it comes to the WT, but you won't do it for one child abuse case? You are too busy celebrating and rejoicing out of your hatred for JW's instead of verifying the facts. Maybe if some of you had done that, you would still be Jehovah's Witnesses.

  Oh I am so sorry. You are trying to say you have doubts about the Conti case. I am sorry. I mistook you for a manic person with possible tendencies to disassociate posting random words on the forum.

  So your point is you have doubts about the "Conti Case". Well personally, I do not know too much about it other than she is involved in some litigation regarding her abuse claims. If you have something you want to share like doubts about her story then here is what you do:

  1. Take a few deep breaths and clear your mind (not too much or demons might enter).

  2. Write down all of your major points about your topic. Make clear and coherent statements followed by supporting facts. For Example:

  Topic: Cagefighter likes Apples

  A. Apples are affordable. Most people can easily purchase a single apple for less than 25 cents.

  B. Apples are nutrious. They are packed with fiber and vitamins.

  C. Apples are delicious. They come in a variety of flavors, from tart to very sweet.

  3. Take your major points and summarize them in a paragraph and post after appropiately titling your topic in the origin post.

  4. Sit back and stay calm. If no one comments on your thread it is ok. Some people just don't have anything to ad, it does not mean they do not like your or are disagreeing.

  I hope your remaining days at JWN are happy ones.

  Recovery you do not come across as a very sympathetic person; perhaps you are in real life, but in here you just sound like an ass.

  We don't really understand why you are here, as this site is for those of us that have have awakened to the lies and deceipt of the WT and want to do something about it. If you are actually an active JW then you are NOT supposed to be here. Your governing body was warned you time and time again not to be here, yet here you are, disobeying your "slave class". That alone is enough for me to lose all respect for you. Remember what Elijah told the Israelites that were limping on two different opinions?

  Are you conflicted? Do you doubt the WT's inspiration and wisdom as "God's sole channel on earth"? Listen to your mother and leave this site, confess to the elders that you have sinned by visiting here, and humble yourself. Otherwise desist from your sickening attacks on a young lady that was sexually molested and did not deserve that horrible experience. The court and the judge conducted a fair trial as far as I have heard. They listened for many hours to the facts and arrived at a verdict. If you respect the judicial process then you must acknowledge that fact.

  Please do all of us a favor and go back to the Kingdom Hall. Your presence here is a sin anyway, right?

  Recovery...I agree with Black sheep. The WTS needs more of your money and voluntary work. Why waste your time here when you could be busy doing gods work.

  Candice won her case...obviously GOD does not support the WTS cause or lawyers. Who am I to argue with God.

  Evidently you buy the WTS argument that Higher Education is pursued for prestige, social position, power, money. The reason the WTS discourages higher education is because people acquire critical thinking skills that obviously are lacking in you and just about any JW I know.

  Dear Orbison2,

  I agree, it is very sad for active thinking Jehovah's Witnesses reading here to have to read Recovery's sad attempt to attack again a victim of wicked sexual abuse by one of his fellow Jehovah's Witnesses. Trying to victimise her again, how wicked can you get ?

  Brave Candace Conti has my full respect, she chose a hard road, and travelled down that road to make it clear of obstacles for others who have suffered, and with the stated aim of making the Jehovah's Witnesses as individuals and as an organization take on their responsibility to protect the vulnerable.

  What she has done has been for altruistic reasons, she is an honourable and honest person, two concepts that "Recovery" has no knowledge of.

  Recovery, how did you get on with reading Crisis of Conscience? Did you manage to get past the first page before your fears overcame you?

  I'm sorry you're so mixed up. We tried to help you, but clearly you like being associated with an organization that protects child abusers. There's not much more we can do.
