For a while, I could not log in no matter how many times I tried. I knew I was typing correctly. Finally, it resolved. Now I can enter and read but when I click on the following page, my computer scroll bar seems frozen. Sometimes refreshing the page helps but most often it does not.
I have no idea what can be causing this result. The scroll bar freezes on a few other sites but always here.
My computer is still under Hardware warranty.
What should I do next?
I don't know, but sometimes when I click on the next page, Google Chrome freezes up and won't load anything. I can't even kill the page or load a different page. I have to forcibily reboot the computer to get it to work again - it won't even respond to ending the program through the task manager or allow me to restart the computer through the normal start button process. I don't think Just Ron has this problem on his computer, but he isn't on here nearly as much as I am and he doesn't open multiple tabs in Chrome.
having constant problems on here , Google Chrome sometimes may help, cant be asked to keep switching browser, constantly some very interesting threads just cut off, incredibly frustrating , sometimes feel like giving it all up, switching compatibility upsets issues with other forums if you forget to reset the button, never known a forum like this with persistent glitches.Why cant there be a proper easy quote box function, why cant there be a readily available browse function to upload your own photos etc?
Dudes run another OS to see if you have the same problems there. If yes then your hardware is faulty. I would recommend a live CD of Puppy Linux. It wilcost you afew cents, a few minutes to burn it and then you do not have to worry if your main OS gets screwed.
Puppy Linux sounds interesting but I don't know enough to know how to use after I download it. It runs on Windows?
Where would it be on my pc?
Not tech savvy and willing to freely admit it.
How does your page scrolling work on Firefox ?
I would stay away from installing another OS for time being , thats going way far to the extreme at this point !
I've never tried Firefox. I'm not very tech savvy either.
I cant see the point of installing another OS just because this forum is temperamental all the other forums I log into are fine vbulletin seems to work the best.

This is what I would say as well. The JWN site was very slow and locking up badly on Monday - and was much better by Tuesday. Today, it seems to be having trouble moving from page to page again. All other sites and apps seem to be perfectly fine.
Hi Band On The Run.......... nice to have you back. I am using Internet Explorer 8, in general no problems from my side. Go up to the top of this page and click on help and then About Internet Explorer that will tell which one you are running. I understand that 9 is incompatible with this site.
