I know that I haven't been here for quite a while but I thought that I'd poke my head in here to pay some respects at the very least...
No, we weren't really friends... we never exchanged words here (or elsewhere) that I can recall... but oompa was such a big presence here... it feels like I knew him somehow, anyway...
The death of anyone you know about can be quite a shock to the system in itself... it's even worse when that death is self inflicted... even worse still when the WT$ is at the root of it all!
The WT$ has got a lot of blood on their hands. The rank and file can be held to account for only so much... it's really the leadership that's to blame... the higher up the chain of command, the more responsibility there is and the more bloodguilt there is. I'm truly sorry that a terrible motorcycle accident (and the following consequences and happenings surrounding it) pushed this tormented soul to the edge... but all we have to do is look towards a certain ivory tower in New York to see where the blame ultimately lies.
It's truly unfortunate, however, that some tormented souls just cannot be saved from themselves...
