CA - its not exaggeration. The fact we (everything from humans to oak trees) are all descended from a common ancestor is every bit as certain as the fact that the earth is not flat. The only difference is that the evidence for one is easy for you to grasp and the other takes years of study and conflicts with your religious beliefs.

Those who believed in Newtonian physics thought that time and space were constants. In its own time these were the "irrefutable facts" that could not change.
However Einstein argued that the world can make better sense in many ways if we view time and space as flexible.
One "irrefutable fact" gave way to another, as it has always done.
ultimately, what gets lost in all of this is:
think of all this like a court room of sorts.
the bible/whatever your holy text is, is your theory of how the world came to be or how life came to be. the science textbook is our proof that your theory is wrong. when you take the time to go through our documents and proofs, when you take the time to perform the experiments to verify the proofs and you go physically see the archaeological/anthropoligical/astronomical evidence for the proofs, then you will see why your theories are wrong.

the concept of sphere and flat are based on unchanging laws of math. these are based off of equations that are proven true when graphed on cartesian coordinates and in 3 dimensions. 3dimensions is an extension of cartesian planes which are derived from the number line and we all know how to count. the number line is one of the very first things you ever learned
no, i know the difference between law and theory. theory is not yet proven to be true and while there are plenty of scientists who like to jump the gun on some things, that doesn't take away from the FACT that it is not yet a fact.

There are holes.
I can take yours or anothers word for things all day long, and have done so in the past. I am asking for a book on such things from the scientific community. What are the question marks? I know evolution and how it is supposed to 'work'. I don't know anything about the question marks though.

SBF - Einstein expanded on truths described by Newton. Everything Newton said still applies at the scale we experience. New ideas were needed to describe the very big and the very fast but if you fall of a cliff you will still accelerate at 9.8m/s 2 and you will still make a mess of your face when you hit bedrock.
The fact of common descent will also never change. Perhaps we will discover there was more than on trunk to the tree but there will never be a time when we will discover we didn't descend from LUCA over millions of years
