What does that question even mean?

I meant, can the concept of sphere and flat change (as graphed on a 3 dimensional grid) change if the concept of 4th, 5th, 6th dimensions were discovered, or added in. Would it still look like a sphere or flat as we understand them, in a 4 (or more) dimensional grid?

    Peace

Yes a football will always look like a football - obviously!

That's a proper football by the way not that stop-start game you play over there.

But a sphere in two dimensions is a circle. So might a sphere be something else in four dimensions?

Einsteinian physics has applications on all sorts of levels including in the solar system that Newton also described. Your explanation of truths being expanded rather than refuted is worthy of a Watchtower exposition on "new light".

Our current understandings may be superseded too. In fact if they are not then it will be the first time ever!

    No it isn't.

SBF - You are not a skeptic you are a cynic. Discussion is impossible.

I am skeptical about the idea that I am a cynic.

What I notice is that you hardly ever engage with what I actually say.

Good catch... (well, maybe not in your game, but in mine... lol)

How do I engage with statements like ...

"Maybe the concepts of flat and spherical will be inadequate to express future conceptions of the earth"

FFS the earth isn't flat and never will be, what else is there to say?

Then I make a perfectly intelligent observation to put Einstein and Newton in context and you accuse me of arguing like the Watchtower.

    Okay.

If we were two dimensional creatures, we would not even see spheres. As three dimensional creatures, we see both circles and spheres. The sphere does not replace the circle. It is just in addition to the circle. In fourth dimension, we would have circles, spheres, AND... something else. Right? (or rather,... probable?)
