Yes. You should be more concerned about your diastolic blood pressure (the bottom number) which represents your bp while your heart is in its relaxed phase of it beat.

How can you lower that number? In two days
the top number came down but the bottom one remain.
Both 140 and 90 are viewed as borderline hypertension . . . a 90 - 100 lower end is mild stage one level, and not especially dangerous unless it persists or fluctuates.
If you've been off meds, it may take a day or two more to stabilise . . . keep a daily check if poss . . . and ensure it doesn't climb again. If it doesn't normalise in a day or two . . . you may need your GP to review the dosage.
Do NOT stop taking your BP meds! My friend died two years ago from not taking his meds....TRUE....
Since you re started...it will take time for them to kick in again........DON'T STOP.
If you stop you're putting too much pressure on your other vital organs making them work too hard and will damage them......eye sight and or other organs.......they don't call it the silent killer for nothing........people usually don't feel bad effects....they just drop dead or have strokes!
I have the same condition, it's inherited.......
Thanks, Free/sizemik. I just recently saw a show where
the guy happen to check his bp. It was 212/101, he had
a heart attack soon afterward. That got my attention.
Thanks again.
Yes, it started during the pregnancy of my last child nine years ago. I'm horrible at taking pills but I gotta get it down somehow.
Mind blown, I hate taking medicine so I figured I can
exercise and lower my bp. Well now I know, I will never
miss taking my pill.
Mrsjones: good for you, sometimes we men can be
so hard headed. I have seen so many of my old class
mate pass and most are from high bp.
