Every schoolboy used to know that at the height of the empire, almost a quarter of the atlas was coloured pink, showing the extent of British rule.

But that oft recited fact dramatically understates the remarkable global reach achieved by this country.

A new study has found that at various times the British have invaded almost 90 per cent of the countries around the globe.

I see Ruritania escaped their attention, too small I suppose. LOL

This is a map, I presume of where the British military have been, certainly the Brit Empire was not that extensive.

But they always wanted to restore empire, evenas late as WW2 Winnie had some wild schemes that would not have worked, motivated by the wish to get back the Empire, or to have avictory where formerly the brits had suffered a defeat. Sensible voices like FDR, Ike and his own advisors managed to keep him in check, most times.

There are still some Brits who believe they should still be in control of most of the world, god help it.

So at work at the Houses of Parliament during the tourist season, some fella who works there came up to me and made some disparaging remark about German tourists to which he imagined I would join him in his bigotry,

I said, "what do you mean?"

He replied, "well you know what the Germans are like at invading other countries"

I replied, "I think you will find we have exceeded Hitlers tally of invading other countries since then"

He looked most offended and stormed off without a word, wouldnt remember him to know if he ever spoke to me again.

Considering the old saying, like father like son, I wonder where the US stands percentage wise regarding all of the various countries' affairs they've stuck their noses into, all in the name of so called Democracy. A criminal in this country convicted of home invasion can make the claim that he was just doing things the American or British way.

The ultimate money control machines are in the city of london. The city of london is a separate entity from the rest of england. It has it's own soveriegnty, simlar to what the pope and holy see have in rome. From there the 'empire' still exercises a huge monetary influence on the whole world. They know that money trumps religion, politics and laws.

Ps, although, the usa may be rivaling the british in using money as power in the world. City of london had a head start and may still be the brains in this new form of global dominance.

    We haven't invaded Sweden YET!

    Clearly the Dutch were underachievers.

Why did Spain invade Spain, were they just practising?
