Hey BOC,
You mention your wife in many of your posts. She sounds like a great lady! (She sounds a lot like my wife!) She (they) is so unlike what many here are going through with their wife once they learn TTATT.
When I saw your Title Line -- Hell Exists -- I was scared that something had turned around with Mrs. BOC.
Whew!! I'm glad it's just a little natural disaster -- hurricane/blizzard/power failure!!!
What a relief! I feel much better now!
We lived through a 7-day power outage as a result of an ice storm a couple years ago. Fortunately I had my "Gas Grill Survival Guide" and a gasoline powered generator. It teaches us how spoiled we are.

In brick New jersey where my 83 yr old mother lives the power came on last monday and she returned to an okay house than it snowed and she got a hold of me today and last night she lost power and spent a cold night alone.
She lives in a retirement village where alot of elderly live alone at least it's not by the water so their homes are intact I just wish the power situation would settle down.

Kidding. I've been there when hiking or camping, and it's NO fun for a very short time - a few days. How long have you had to deal with it?

So you wouldn't believe this, but I was scheduled for jury duty today at the federal courthouse.
Yesterday evening I called to see if my "number" was selected, and it was.
I called again this morning to see if it was cancelled due to weather, and it wasn't.
To make a long story short, I was sworn in as a jury member this afternoon. My duty is once a week for EIGHTEEN MONTHS.
i feel numb.

A good part of my personal hell has been extinguished by an out-of-state power crew who restored our service this evening.
I love human civilization!
