If by god you are refurring to something imaginary and you make a prayer to this imaginary diety and you get better or worse health then I would say yes he answers in the same way you make prayers,,(in the mind).

It makes me sad to say, No. I don't think He answers any prayers; unless the answer is always NO.

Lol, reminds me of the joke about the faith healer in his demonstration, with an amputee and a stutterer behind the curtain, faith healer says "Let's see the glory of The Lord, Peter, step out! " "Voice from the curtain says "Ppp-pppeter's fallen over!"
