want the best military? we'll need the best technology.

want the best technology? gonna have to invest in the schools.

we're disenfranchising millions of kids by not investing properly in education.the very nature of "zone schools" in nyc is an example of that.

that's a lot of potential oppenheimers we're losing out on.

that's a lot of potential bankers, doctors, engineers, scientists, lawyers, entrepreneurs, etc that could be PAYING taxes on good paying jobs, rather than TAKING tax money in the form of food stamps, section 8, etc.

want to cut down on our dependency on foreign oil? lmao ok. how are we gonna do that when nearly every single machine with moving parts relies on SOME sort of lubricant?

how are we going to do that in a country that has so many cars with absolutely TERRIBLE gas mileage?

it's absolutely imperative we fix this problem and we have to do so in a world in which more countries are demanding MORE oil which means HIGHER prices.

the only long term solution is new energy sources.

it's time we start pulling our heads out our ass and start thinking long term

I really appreciate corporations showing themselves for who they really are...

They proclaim how they employ middle class America and then, as a show of brute force, kick middle class Americans to the curb the day after the country shows support for the idea that their wealthy a$$e$ use the same toilet paper we use and should have to pay accordingly.

Dardin's Restaurants (Olive Garden etc.) is going more part time. If you want long term employees you have to offer a comprehensive plan. The head of the Ohio Steelworkers Union made the point- a CEO has a contract with the Board of Directors for bonuses, if the CEO makes the numbers they get x dollars, why not share the same structure with the employees who make it possible including a full benefit package..

My understanding is that it has to do with Obamacare. Lets have the govenment take more money from already suffering companies during this shitty recession.

What changed from Monday to Friday?

Obama was president Monday, still is on Friday.

    No new policies took effect.

    Petraus resigned.

None of that costs anyone any more money. None of that affected a business in any external way.

It's amusing that a bunch of people layed off a ton of workers and blamed a person that hadn't done anything other than get re-elected. The layoffs had nothing to do with Obama other than his re-election causing an extreme case of actute butt-hurt for these jokers.

That's how my company is structured. Works great.

Are you sure some requirements for businesses don't start in 2013 -- have heard talk some things do like increase in taxes before the Obamacare kicks in.

Uh, the structure of the ACA is very plain. Even if there were some portion that were to kick in during November and December, that would happen whether or not Obama was elected. Hearing talk doesn't mean it's true.

Republicans just can't let go. They will run their party further into the ground and it won't do anyone any good in America. We need the give and take, the ebb and flow of the parties. What is ruining the party? The Republicanized industrial media complex. Glenn Beck, FOX news, and the nonsense that they get on point with. People have never been so ignorant, with so much information at their disposal. The media has turned into entertainment and nothing more on both sides of the aisle.

here is the problem. people are reluctant to let go of money(except for the new i phone). along with rising costs of everything. the results are less general goods being sold= less goods produced=less transportation.....all the way down. take into account that the govt. has an agency to to shakedown every industry along the line and this is what the s%^t hitting the fan looks like, its just the beginning. even we are ready to sell out because of unreasonable govt. regs.
