    It's official!

    From the jw.org website:

    NOVEMBER 9, 2012

    Annual Meeting Report

“Who Really Is the Faithful and Discreet Slave?”

The evidence points to the following conclusion: “The faithful and discreet slave” was appointed over Jesus’ domestics in 1919. That slave is the small, composite group of anointed brothers serving at world headquarters during Christ’s presence who are directly involved in preparing and dispensing spiritual food. When this group work together as the Governing Body, they act as “the faithful and discreet slave.” - [Emphasis added]

Note: Keep in mind that this doctrinal change relies on the same kind of "evidence" that brought us the "Overlapping Generation" doctrine.

Hallelujah! Lightning has illuminated the darkened sky.

Can you not hear the thunderous rejoicing of the heavenly hosts in this proclamation?

Surely this refinement proves the end is oh so near!

"After such an upbuilding and historic program, those in attendance heartily joined in singing “The Light Gets Brighter” (Song No. 116) from Sing to Jehovah. Its lyrics include these appropriate words:

“Our Lord has appointed a trustworthy slave,

Through whom He gives food in due season.

The light of the truth has grown brighter with time,

Appealing to heart and to reason.” "

    Hi 00DAD,

Thanks for the link. Iam surprised. There is accompanying song as quoted above to complete their questionable 'light'. Iam even more surprised, they continue to cling to 1914, that incorrect year of Jesus' supposedly coming. These people are master of manipulation.

When did they start referring to people as domestics. That sounds so weird to me, I dont remember hearing it before.

I grew up in the 1950s. The word "domestics" was used frequently. I always thought of house slaves or Irish maids.

Also, if I recall correctly, department stores called linens and such "domestics."

Still clinging to 1919, guess WTS is keeping the dates

mind blown: Still clinging to 1919, guess WTS is keeping the dates

Yes, but notice this: 1919 is three years AFTER C. T. Russell died!

It appears that they are trying to distance themselves from him.

They just admitted that they have been teaching falsehood for the past hundred years.
