we are having a strong east wind today. Hopefully it will take off the rest of the leaves once and for all so I can rake them for the last time in 2012.
I walked down to the Marina and the sailboats in our little harbor are rocking. I love the bell like sound of their rigging slapping against the masts and the seagulls are sitting tight.
The Columbia flows from east to west towards the Pacific. We typically have a west wind that make the river look like it is flowing west and this sometimes disorients visitors. But today, the wind and the river both have the same destination.
I saw my friend, Roy, packing up his fishing gear. He said the fishing was no good today anyway. He was ready for home and hearth. He has a huge Andalusian shepherd dog that is always happy to see people, which can sometimes be intimidating if you don't know him.
