What kind of foods do you like to cook with Olive Oil?

  All leafy greens, with garlic, onion and a pinch of s&p. perfecto!

  i cook practically exclusively with olive oil. i do use butter for a base for a roux...and for spreading on bread....i am through with canola oil once i learned that it is basically poison. i really give precedence to the mediterranean diet style. deep fat fried stuff is better with corn oil, but that i a very very rare thing in our house.

  Try walnut oil. Get it at the health food store, the stuff in regular groceries is often rancid. It tastes better than olive oil in many applications, and is just as healthy as olive oil. I first learned about it from a French employee who taught me how to make vinaigrette with olive oil. Yummm.

  Try the Italian olive oil cake with walnut oil. Yummm again.

  I like the taste of olive all and pretty much use it in all my cooking and dressings. I particularly like to do a pasta, dress it with olive oil, salt, pepper and ripped basil leaves and a touch of tomato/onion/garlic/chilli sauce = delish.

  Olive oil and balsamic make a great foccacia "dip".

  I just stick to cooking spinach, with Popeye, Olive never comes to my house.
