"There are hundreds of thousands of bacteria living in my ass I can't explain either but it doesn't damage my faith in my religion"

Why would it damage his faith since his faith isn't built around specific and time sensitive information his religion claims to have regarding the bacteria in his ass. His faith is based on specific information regarding creation and where we are in the stream of time in terms of God's plans for mankind. His religion claims that we are in the last days and the only way to be saved is to follow their lead and trust their every word. The trouble is, science has proved their timeline to be inaccurate which therefore leads one to question whether this organization is guided by God at all and causes one to wonder what else they are wrong about.

If you’ve ever watched a seasoned politician avoid answering a question you’ll know that you will never get an answer from someone who doesn’t want to give one – even when the answer is a simple as yes or no. One of that species of sub-humans managed to avoid answering such a simple question about twenty times in a TV interview before the interviewer gave up with another question, “so you’re not going to answer the question?” but he didn’t get an answer to that one either. Even a bullshit button won’t help, but it’s still interesting to speculate.

My question would be – In view of the Watchtower’s many failed predictions given in the name of Jehovah, why should we not apply Duet 18:22 to it?

Taking the bible as god's word and obeying the commandments therein especially direct commandments that can be found in the greek scriptures, consider the text in 1 Corinthiens 14: 33-35:

    33. For God is [a God], not of disorder, but of peace. As in all the congregations of the holy ones,

    34. let the women keep silent in the congregations, for it is not permitted for them to speak, but let them be in subjection, even as the Law says.

    35. If, then, they want to learn something, let them question their own husbands at home, for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in a congregation.

Question: Why are women allowed to give comments and presentations in meetings - is this not unscriptural?

    1. From 1982 - 1995 the Masthead of the Awake magazine stated: "Most importantly, this magazine builds confidence in the Creator's promise of a peaceful and secure new order before the generation that saw the events of 1914 C.E. passes away."

Why does this statement no longer appear in the Awake? Was this really the Creator's promise?

Now THAT is a great one, Vanderhoven 7!

Using their own words against them, I feel, is probably the most powerful wedge in the crack of "channeled" truth.

THEY thought it was important enough to build confidence in something THEY no longer have confidence in! Oh, the irony!

I'd like to play the same game with our political leaders. Why stop at elected officials? Let's put senior civil servants on the stand, too.

    My question:

As a registered charity, please present your profit and loss statements for the last two years, including all sources of income (contribution, and transfers from other legal entities.)

OH! And distribution of money towards the stated goal of their charity (public education).

Jgnat, is that more of a demand or a question?

    My question:

As a registered charity, please present your profit and loss statements for the last two years, including all sources of income (contribution, and transfers from other legal entities.)

I don't know how transparent religious charities have to be. If there ARE laws about transparency we

should have jumped on that one a long time ago! But, I like your idea of forcing them to clearly elaborate on their own special definition of what "charity" is.

Terry, such transparency is law in Canada. Their returns are posted online. A fairly hefty sum is forwarded to the US every year. It would be nice to see similar laws in the US, separation of church and state notwithstanding. Surely contributors have a right to see where their money is going.

To see the Canadian WTS return, search under Watch Tower, two words.
