OMG it must be a cult when we can all have the EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE

The thing that gets me most about this brother is how smart I thought he was and how well put together his arguments seemed years ago. That's when I was under the thought process of the WT. Now I look at him and it saddens me. He said "I've been alive for 53 years and I've looked at it all. There's nothing you can say to me to prove that this isn't the Truth."

Yes, I used to think he had some special insight, but I came to realize after I challenged him on certain things that there was nothing special about him. When I really challenged him he would stammer, it would take him a while to think. Usually he was quick, on the fly. It was the same business here today. Now I see him for what he really is, a good public speaker in a cheap suit.

I wouldn't have lasted 2 minutes of that. I guess that is why my motto is no pearls before swine. I would have excused myself and visited the little girl's room and not come out till he left. But I realize that your situtation was staged.

    jws conveniently forget Matthew 24:44

(Matthew 24:44) On this account YOU too prove yourselves ready, because at an hour that YOU do not think to be it, the Son of man is coming.

"I've been alive for 53 years and I've looked at it all. There's nothing you can say to me to prove that this isn't the Truth."

A lie to protect his version of precious truth if I have ever heard one. And the Mormon elder, the Catholic priest, and the Islamic cleric all say the same.

Sadly, brainwashing still works all over the world.

they always, say, we will be right, you will see!

A lot of my JW family said this. A lot of them are dead now.

    Hey perfect1!..

I`ve had the same conversation with JW`s in FS..

    In different areas..

JW`s are pre-programed to respond without thought.
    Canned WBT$ responses..

You can have an entire conversation with a JW..

Without them ever straying from the script..

    No thought involved..

    Perfect1 beat me to it!

Your head's not in the sand, but we know where his is firmly tucked!

Thanks for sharing. It was an interesting read. You've a nice personal way of writing ... or is it your brother that has it?!?

wow - quite the story. the ones with their heads stuck in the sand are those who prefer negativity, death, doom and destruction and amazing how judgmental they are.........how does this guy know that "it'll be too late for you"? he's giving you his personal little death sentence which means exactly nothing in reality.

Dare I suggest he's the one sticking his head in the sand? He seems like one who thinks it's all obviously the truth. Either that, or he knows better but thinks that acting this way will pressure you to conform in order to gain his approval.

    Elders are fun.
