Well, no. Increasing 0 by 100% or 1000% or a million billion % is 0. It's not possible to state a growth rate for a new value as a percentage.

With news like this, I wonder how long it will be before they discontinue reporting their figures. They are stagnating, that's good news.

Most countries decreased in Avg. Aux. Pio. - about 10.7% average decrease, U.S. Avg. Aux .Pio. decreased 15.8%. I suspect the WTS will lower their bar for Aux. Pio, possibly for 30 hr requirement for 'all' months of the year.
Worldwide Memorial Attendance decreased 1.9%. U.S. Memorial Attendance decreased 2.4%.
Worldwide "Peak"Pubs increased 1.6%. U.S. "Peak" Pubs. increased .26% (only about 1/4 of 1%)

Didn't catch that. Apparently, neither did they.
No mention at all in the entire YB about the numbers of Aux in March. I was waiting to see if it topped 2 million, since they came out with a WT last year while the month was still March that said "millions" shared in auxiliary pioneering in March (note the date of the post in the first link). -

Good point on perspective.
Also, any positive number compared with 0 is mathematically an infinite percent increase (which, of course, would seem to be a pretty good little pat on the back for them).

Less increase means more leaving.

If n x 0 = 0, then dividing both sides by 0, gives n = 0 / 0 for all values of n. (And it follows that n = [i x 0] / 0 still yields the same result for any value of i.) This is why dividing by 0 is undefined rather than infinite.
Apparently someone didn't tell the Watch Tower goons that. Yet they leave it blank when the growth rate is actually 0%.
