I just read Scully's post. I think that person's response is much too logical and well thought out and against the popular Dub opinion that Pokemon is bad. That poster will be shouted down and that thread closed very shortly, if the Dubs stick to their usual pattern.

I know "that person" was wondering whether the post would cause an uproar while "that person" was writing it.

On a similar note.....My step-daughter has two sisters across the street that she likes to play with. Their mom is a devout Catholic, not so much the dad. Poor bastard, immagine his homelife. But I digress. I asked the girls one day if they had seen Lord of the Rings yet. They informed me with heads hung low that they were not allowed to watch it. These books are magical and are a wonderful part of my life. I have read the trilogy several times over and the movie was an excellent adaptation of the book. My step-daughter loved it and went with me to see it a second time. I've even read some of the books to her. And these poor girls get to go to school and tell everyone else "my mom won't let me watch it" while all the other kids are talking about how great the cave troll was. Now the dubs don't want their kids having anything to do with Pokemon? Religion is great for kids, doncha think?

Scully, Scully, you are a sly one.

The writing style in that last orange colored post sure seems familiar. Where have I read that style before?

I wonder how many readers of that post will agree what is said in their minds before the post gets a hammering and deleted. Let's hope the seed will grow before that happens.

Another point, from one of the posts. We know that we must be deep in the last days . Where have I heard this expression before? Well it's the same expression that Ciro Aucilino used in his talk last fall. Something like, We know, brothers, we are deep deep into the time of the end....

Except for the orange post, all the others sound like straight from an assembly drama, yes, we are deep deep deep in doggy doo and there is no end in sight.

It's a painful experience to read these posts. My sojourn at PLN ended after thread number 3 that was just the SAME BS over and over again. Most of those people probably have the WT CDROM's viewer open in the next window and are just cutting and pasting randomly. Why they do it is a mystery to me.

These are the writings of people who's mental output is filtered or even wholly controlled by the WTBTS meme, and there is very little they can do about it.

As I said to a Dub once: "Your mind is it's own beautiful prisoner."

This phrase has several meanings for the average Dub, but perhaps the strongest is the fact that they will, for the most part, never be able to leave the cage inside their skull that they, or others, have forcibly created for themselves. It's just not possible for some Dubs to consider alternative points of view to the WTBTS's force-fed doctrines, primarily because those bits of their mind have atrophied away. If you don't use your legs for 20 years, you sure as hell are not gonna be running a marathon tomorrow.

For those who have family that are still willing to talk to you...ask them this question:

Do you like watching the Wizard of OZ?

It's funny. I knew tonz of witnesses who would watch this movie, and still do. Let's think about this for a second:(puts on JW goggles)

    1) It has a bad witch, that does practice her magic powers in this movie.
    2) Use of a crystal ball
    3) Glenda the "good witch" also uses her magical powers.
    4) Ruby Slippers item of magical enchantment with magical powers.
    5) A "wizard" is in it, grant it he doesn't use any "magical" powers, but hey...he's a "wizard".

A lot of JW's and fundamental christians (I like calling 'em Fun-I'm-mental) just luuuuv The Wizard of OZ. Yet they have this double standard when it comes to Harry Potter, Pokemon, Smurfs, etc.
