Governing body 3.0 will begin the de-emphasis of 1914.
Governing body 4.0 will push it into the background completely - still there, but rarely mentioned.
So I'd give it another 30-40 years.

Like 2+2=5 said: 1914 isn't mentioned with the same frequency like it was some 40, 30 or 20 years before. Spiritual food has become a watery milk soup these days, just enough to remember the dubs, that the GB is the Boss. None of the dubs could digest franzlike bible-chronology anymore. So 1914 more and more will become a shade, once in a while brought up, but never explained or justified. Till that day the GB sees themself forced to set another date, because the end has the effrontery to not show up. In 20 + years I assume.

I would not put it past the GB from saying something like "Some in the past, evidently, thought that we should have used Earth years when calculating Daniels prophecy, as it were."

Well, allmost 2000 years later, the first failed generation teaching still dont provide the slightest problem for any christian denomination. I think to expect an expiraton date on these things is wrong.

The fact that the new light recently does away with Charlie boy as part of the FDS means they are "heading" that way...they are heading to eliminate 1914 and it seems 1919 has become more important...
We have all read replies on how 1935 could be important to them so they can do it...they can still move the goalposts and still retain that Jesus selected them...
