Jesus Christ, The Holy Messiah
For me, if you actually follow the teachings credited to jesus, life becomes somewhat better. At least, you are treating others better and often get treated better in return. When I say his teachings, I am referring to what he actually taught and not what man has come along and said he taught.
Does it make life perfect? Of course not. But, having faith in a message of love does no one any harm. When the message becomes skewed to use against others and hurt them, then the harm comes in.
For me, when life kicks you down as low as you can get, it is comforting to have that faith and message to lean on. Even if it weren't truth, it is still nice to have something to lean against in times of need.
At least, that is the way I see it. For those that disagree, no matter. We are all responsible for ourselves and free to believe or not believe as we wish. There are no points awarded trying to force others to agree with your beliefs.
If God's Spirit is filling a Kingdom Hall, how is it that Satan can manuever the ones within that Kingdom Hall at the same time?
Thats what i'd thought too, but it turns out that it was written by Rabbi Hillel. One would think a perfect person would not have to resort to borrowing theology from a mere mortal.
Truth is truth even from the Devil
WOW!!!
I'll drink to that!
Xenu,
How do you know he was not perfect?
You made the claim .I can not know whever such a quality as perfect or imperfect exists when it comes to humans.
If someone wants to claim the extordinary they are the ones who need to provide evidence.
LOL @ Elsewhere. "Jebus" You stold that from Homer Simpson. That episode always cracks me up. "Help me Jebus, Help me!" hehe..
Sargon,
I'd like to learn more about the origins of the bible. Can you suggest any books I could read, for a beginner? Do they have an origins of the bible for dummies?
"We would not refuse to treat one as a brother because he did not believe the Society is the Lord's channel... There should be full liberty of conscience." -- WT April 1, 1920, p. 100, 101
Elsewhere: "Jebus says that those with him would never die - as far as I know, everyone who has followed him throughout history have died."
Physically died. What if Jesus wasn't talking about a physical life?
Jesus was supposed to be the personification of love. I think he was supposed to tell people who "just didn't get it" that that's were it's at.
Jesus has an EXCELLENT backhand.
