Believe it or not, a few days ago I sat down and thought that the point at which I stopped really really thinking everything was ok was when I was at Bethel.
I saw more racist actions / arrogance / as well as favortism then I had ever seen in my life. I had the most arrogant and phony assistant overseer ever who is now on the writing department. He would sit in his office and read through the dictionary like some kind of convict learning new words then use them all day and tell use how smart he wsa.
Then any of you who were bethelites will remember the most arrogant guy ever who was actually pretty funny who had the ever famous quote...

THe hardest part of all of this for me is my wife... She occasionally will totally agree with me - then on the other side she is so confused about me.
Truthfully i really dont care about much else except her because she actually trully loves me. I know she is just stuck and afraid to accept those feelings she has are valid.

Welcome. One of the things that makes no sense to me is that back in the day (pre 75) I was told that "this good news" must be preached in all the inhabited earth before the end comes. I was told that every person would be given a chance to accept or reject "the truth" before Armageddon. They said Jehovah would "speed it up in his own time". It seemed this might be so when the org was growing. And it has grown quite a bit since then. But many countries have grown far more than the JWs have. So the vast majority the earths population has never heard of Jehovah's Witnesses, and even in the US, most people have no idea what the Witnesses teach. This seems unlikely to change. So how could a loving God kill everyone on earth when they don't know him, or know why they should serve him? It is not logical that people would be killed because they were born in the wrong country.
sosoconfused, Steve Hassan's book helped me recognize the two personalities in a Witness; the natural person and the cultic person. Just learning to spot the difference and how to bring out the natural person makes it so much easier in a mixed marriage.
(Speaking from personal experience.)
Welcome..... I had to look up Beth Sarim... lol. I never even heard of this until I left the Borg. I will bet most still in have no idea about this if they are younger than 30. I just asked my wife, still in, if she knows about it. She had no idea till now.
