Find out more about him first. I mean as bad as the WT is, just say he was a drug addict trying to find a purpose and the JWs may be the medicine to go straight. Pull the magic carpet out from under him may make him return to worse.

Extreme example i know, but not everyone should be woken up. I beleive that if you wake up another you are responsable for what may follow.

Sneaking some info into his bag or car seems like the best option. You could maybe even write him an anonymous letter to warn him, and print it out so he can't pin down your handwriting.

    Go for it.

As Steve2 said, be careful you don't play into the WT's "Satan will try to discourage you from studying and learning the truth" propaganda that works so well when friends and relatives tell a study that the WT is a cult, that he should stop studying, etc.

I'm not saying to do nothing.

Just saying that you need to come up with a strategy to get the other person to think, not to shut down his thinking.

Aussie Oz has a good point. Please find out a bit about him first. Then, if he is simply a gullible soul, and you need to protect yourself, I would do as some others have suggested, and discreetly & ANONYMOUSLY get some information in his hands. Nothing in your own handwriting, only printed out from the computer, with nothing on it that could be traced back to you. Snail mail may be the safest way, with a printed address label, no return address. printouts from jwfacts sounds like a great idea. Also perhaps a mention of CoC in what you send?

Does anyone else find it hard to believe that with all the information so easily available on the net today, that anyone would actually study with the witnesses?!

The problem is as Steve says ....they will think persecution!

I remember that Blue Book and fell for it!!!!!

" I can never forget one of the first chapters in the little blue book from the late 1960s "The Truth that Leads to Eternal Life" that told newcomers to expect opposition from their non-JW friends and family because Jesus had said his followers would be persecuted"

    .

    damn!

Do it DATA-DOG!! There is a difference between preaching religion versus helping circumvent the WTBTS victimizing another person with BITE control techniques.

You could do what Gayle suggested. You could take a Watchtower or Awake! and write a website on it such as www.jwfacts.com, www.watchtowerdocuments.com, www.jwsurvey.org, or www.freedomofmind.com.

Peace be with you and everyone, who you love,

    Robert
