The Bible says, for example, that if your worship is to be “acceptable to God,” it must be “a sacred service with your power of reason.” In other words, you must worship God “in a way that is worthy of thinking beings.”

    Awake! 1/11 p. 28

Just think of your last meeting. Was it truly "refreshing" and something "worthy of thinking beings"?

Exactly what religious service was offered indside?

Or did it have more the resemblance of a sales seminar?

Bats - What a weird and nauseating Awake! quote. I translate this as 'DO MORE(R)!'

A quick look at their Online Library returns this:

    What is a Kingdom Hall?

"A Kingdom Hall is a house of worship used by Jehovah’s Witnesses for their religious services".

They did sing, although what they pass for "music(??)" is pretty wretched. They do pray, to joke-hova. They do practice piety, including obeying strict rules against having any fun, in the name of joke-hova. They believe joke-hova is watching everything we do, and the slightest problem results in destruction for us. They read parts of the LIE-ble, though out of context. And they use the LIE-ble to threaten destruction.

If you are expecting full Christian worship at the boasting sessions, forget it. They worship joke-hova instead (Jewish--that's their god). They have works-based salvation though proclaiming otherwise--field circus being the works (Jewish--they also did works and obedience to gain salvation). You are more likely to see their acts as "worship" if you view them as a hybrid religion that practices deception, rather than pure Christian. (Of course, that doesn't mean their worship is pure, right, or correct.)

Amelia - JWs have the watchtower(R) logo to worship.

I so agree. I am sure if they could get hold of a little gold watchtower to hang on a chain as a necklace they would.

Pixel - Oh, snap. What a contradiction.

    WTWizard -

If I were god I'd condemn them for those vomit inducing maladies. I can't imagine anyone singing songs like those for my benefit and me being overjoyed.

Amelia - I know of a sister(TM) that wore a little tetragrammaton necklace. It was me with disapproval from many. Why?

We had a pioneer couple that had a large wooden tetragrammaton over their lounge doorway. They felt it kept them safe. Lol

Amelia - Any self respecting burglar would say: 'Oh. A JW. Nothing to nick from them...they've given it all to the Governing Body!'

Did you notice on the 12/15/12 W page 12 that the boy was reading the Bible from the speaker stand that had a watchtower symbol.

Weren't they supposed to not use those in the Kingdom Halls?
