Lois, what I wrote is an outsider's observation of what I saw going on, based on over a decade and a half as the unbelieving husband. I ain't no saint, but I wasn't that bad! And in all fairness, not all JW husbands are as bad as I described...but some are, and unfortunately they're not easy to recognize before making a big mistake.

This is one for the ladies and I swear it`s a true story : An Elder in one of my former congregations was very cluey as far as scriptures were concerned but he was a weird guy and very manipulative .I beleive his wife couldnt cope with him or the religion so she had her own way to survive .Sickness was one way to avoid the meetings, and she claimed she had cancer , which he helped her to get through by exorcising it and passing it through her body. She also convinced him she menstrated twice a month so he would leave her alone because of the blood issue .They had two boys and one girl who was a pioneer ,who eventually became involved with a guy who feigned interest in the religion to marry her then had affairs which broke the marriage up .she left JW`s never to return .So what I guess I`m saying some have ingenious ways of coping with demanding husbands who use the scripture for their own ends.

GL Tirebiter>>>>>Oops. I am truly sorry, Sir. My mistake.

I know there are 100's of 1,000 of wonderful men that are baptized JW husbands. I thought I would have one of those myself. But that marriage never took place.

The man I loved, was tall and handsome, and had a fun personality, a good dresser, a good dancer. He made me laugh. He made me happy. He smelled nice.

The woman he married, I am sure he treated like a Queen and she treated him like a King. Even though I have not seen him for years and years, I hope he has the best marriage. He has been married for 44 years. He is an Elder. He sits on JC's. He is a real, normal, kind man. I can't see him as anything but.

He loves Jehovah and he loved me. Once, long ago.

    Just Lois
