Remember the old saying, "Gag me with a spoon"?
Might be time to bring it back!

Actually I have a little tract published in the 1930s by the Seventh-Day Adventist where this scenario was lifted from.

    Hmmm said:

This reads like something that was lifted from a fundamentalist Baptist email and changed for JWs.

i wonder if a lotta fundies are circulating this and appropriating it for their own religion.

Thanks for the warning, Abaddon, for a sick bag!

    RR,

I think it would be FASCINATING if you could scan that Adventist tract for us. WTS - plagarize? Surely you jest! (NOT!!)

    Abaddon,

Sooooo sappy. We used to have a DO in the US - Dennis Raftopolis - who would plagarize all sorts of things like this and use them in his assembly talks all the time. From footprints on the beach to the master's hand to the father who has to sacrifice his son on the train trestle, Dennis ripped off every sad, silly, sappy little thing like this that he came across.

Makes my skin crawl a bit!!

Why not scan it and post it here -- so we'll know that you're not lying?

Actually, I don't doubt what you say of its origin. Some of the terminology doesn't mesh. For example, the bit about Biblical music in stores; "soul winning", etc.

Daniel 11:35 ... a KEY prophecy that must be fulfilled before the "time of the end" gets underway.

Okay, I'll dig it up, give me some time. Although the scaenario is the same, that being the SDA believe they are the true church, some things are different, such as the tactics the demons use to keep the SDA rank and file busy. This is an 8 page tract, quite lengthy. However, as I stated before, teh scenario is the same, Satan and his minins holding a meeting to determine how to stop the SDA's from growing and giving a witness.
