Its both disturbing and a bit shocking to see people not realize the inherent corruption of the Watchtower Publishing House,
in all its mis informative ignorance, exploitation and indulgent manipulation imposed onto people.

In the last few weeks before my mom died she forgot she had ever been a JW and it was fun to watch. She actually has ger caregiver give her a birthday party and she enjoyed it so much She apparently knew how to party but this was a side I never knew until just before the end My husbands at 86 stills speaks about living thru Aremegeddon but it better come fast, her health is fading.

Well said I couldn't agree more
That is just too sad to think about. His life was stolen from him
Gilead and CO. Sounds like he gave it up willingly. Seems to me, whatever lable you want to affix to him, victim ain't the right one.
It is becoming the Catholic Church with a cult twist.
Except for the billions spent on charity, education, and hospitals. And the 2,000 year tradition of theological and philosophical reflection. But, yeah. Totally the same.

Zeb sent one back at you!
if it were me and i really believed? i would be pretty happy i would think. the fact is that many are not, and that has to make you wonder. if you truly believed your next step was eternal bliss, wouldn't you die with a smile on your face? but i do not think this is the case in general.
"....well, it's been X years. I never got a high school diploma, I did that time in prison during the war, I spent X thousands of hoursgoing door to door and having Bible studies trying to convince people that the end was near (and that was 45 years ago) I was told that I would never die before the new world arrived. Now I have grown children, grand children and great grandchildren whom I have influenced with all my strength to believe that the end is near and they are embracing it with all their hearts, just as I did.
I heard today that there was an earthquake in China that killed 100,000 people, so there is still hope.
Everybody has to be somewhere.
I did the same, Glander, and younger JWs seem not to believe us regarding the pre-1975 message of absolute certainty. Now our families are devoted to the new light.

My Ex, now in her 60,s, told me daughter just last week.
I have made many mistakes in my life, I wish I had thought
about certain things before reacting. My daughter(A JW) was puzzled
by my ex- wife confession, I hope this will wake her up (daughter).
She also told my daughter, if she had to do it all over again, she
would still marry me. I feel sorry for her, her health is failing and
financial problems.
