    The reason being:

"All of our teachings are based on the Bible, not on the writings of some religious leader in the United States." — 1 Thessalonians 2:13 .

(item #3 on jw.org web page)

Wow can that be? As far as what I understand, all the writings originate from Brooklyn, NY, USA.

Has something changed? Or is it just disinformation?

Many doctrines JWs adhere to I have never seen to be teachings of the Bible. But many of their doctrines for sure were conjured up in the ivory tower and had their beginnings there.

They don't want to be put in to the same category as Sevnth Day Adventists, Mormons, Christian Scientists, etc. The WTS has always taught that they are teaching directly from Jesus and the Apostles...thus they consider themselves to be directly linked to the First Century Christians.

Of course they are, however stridently they argue to the contrary....

Reality ... if the WTS. was never founded in the US under the guise of the freedom of religion act, they would never have

been able to create this inherently corrupt and devious religious publishing house/religion, with all of its corrupt false doctrines.

Of course any brain washed JWS is not logically going to perceive this within themselves.

They been mentally indoctrinated to support the organization at all costs , even to lie if they must in doing so.

    Let play connect the dots

Dot One : " It is true that the Jehovah's Witnesses had thier modern-day start in the United States"______Reasoning book page 201

Dot Two: " They look to the Governing Body of that " Slave class " to resolve difficult questions."_____Reasoning book page 205

Dot Three : " Blood is equated to idolitry and fornication" " Similarly, any food to which whole blood or even some blood fractions has been added should not be eaten." _____Reasoning book page 71

Dot Four : " Such fractions, the Bible does not comment on these. ( Opinions of men ) "_______2006 August Awake page 12

Conclusion: All of their teachings are not based on the Bible, but came from leaders who reside in the Good Ol' U.S.of A

They reject and deny being a "sect" - well, I guess they would....

    Sect:

    1. A group of people forming a distinct unit within a larger group by virtue of certain refinements or distinctions of belief or practice. 2. A religious body, especially one that has separated from a larger denomination.
They say that they were never a part of anybody else and anyway, the word has a derogatory tone to it Watchtower Dec 15 2012 makes a lot of their viewpoint that national boundaries are from mankind, not God, so they do not like being "American"

The lie is that they simply believe that if they put something into print, it is automatically true.

It does not matter what accusation is brought against them, they will always have a way to reason around it. Truth is usually the first casualty.
