Of course their leaders are not in the United States. Just in some country called "World headquaters", also known as Brookyn, New York, USA:
"The evidence points to the following conclusion: “The faithful and discreet slave” was appointed over Jesus’ domestics in 1919. That slave is the small, composite group of anointed brothers serving at world headquarters during Christ’s presence who are directly involved in preparing and dispensing spiritual food. When this group work together as the Governing Body, they act as “the faithful and discreet slave.”
Because they want to appear favorable to all the worldlies of the earth.
For a religion that has prided itself on an ever-growing worldwide membership, being labelled as an American sect is damaging to that reputation and it is not surprising that they resist that label.
They just make stuff up as they go along. This is just more of their revisionist history.
The WTS is as American as the 19th century Slave Master of the south
They both have / had Overseers, and folks slavin' in fieldservice
.
Not only is JWs an American cult, it was founded by Russell, a Pennsylvanian, my home state. I'm so proud.
The U.S. and all things American (don't start, Canadians!) are not well liked wherever one goes. I wonder how many would-be dubs have been repulsed by that fact.
