This is not "apostate" literature per say...this is straight from one of their books...Bible Teach Book

Baptism and Your Relationship With God

    Paragraph 24

....Remember, too, that you have made a dedication to Jehovah God himself, not to a work, a cause, other humans, or an organization..."

Could the writer have awoken and found TTABTT?

I plan to use this with my wife today...as well as that July 2009 Awake article that talks about how no one should be forced to believe that their way of worship is wrong, or something along those lines...

    Love to all of you

After your being told to "move out," I cannot strongly enough urge you to just let the anti-Witnessing to your wife cease for now.

    Please reconsider.

Win her over with unconditional love. There will be other opportunities in the future to direct her attention to stuff like this.

Winning the argument won't win her mind over or respect...I know because my wife tells me this all the time haha.

    well to be more precise...

she brought this up last night and she wanted an answer...she was calm, and asked for an explanation and said she was willing to listen...I told her I would get back to her tonight...

in either case, if I do bring this up or not today, have any of you have any experience with this argument?

Remind her of how Jesus' faithful apostles constantly argued about who was superior to the other - they wanted authority and position over their fellow disciples.

(Matthew 23:8-12) ...... for one is YOUR teacher, whereas all YOU are brothers................. Neither be called ‘leaders,’ for YOUR Leader is one, the Christ. But the greatest one among YOU must be YOUR minister. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

I have heard this argument. While it is valid, it typically serves the JW to just insist that you live up to your baptism then and serve Jehovah instead of the organization.

What they mean is that you go door-to-door and go to meetings and participate while suppressing your doubts until your "waiting on Jehovah" reveals the answers you are looking for in some future article or convention talk.
