I hope all works out for you too.

If you have been 'brought up' in the org - now is your chance get 'in the know' about the religion which you were born into. A religion which for you and I, was dictated by where we were born -just like any other.

I sure wish I knew back then, what I know now!

    Thanks for your kind comments.
I can see why the warmth of the loving organization didnt work for you.
Guess what ? Fortunately your belief has no bearing on either the truth my feelings. I notice that leaving the organization has imbued you with the ability to read my motives, a useful tool indeed. You call it a flippin religeon, the policy of this db seems to allude you... time for you to move on to Intolerance-and-insulting.net.

Latte Thanks too for your comments, no matter how they disagree with my sentiments, they sound genuine and reasonable.
I hope all the best to you too.
PS do not disagree with Sabrina, it is apparently un acceptable.

    DF,

Thank you for recognizing my intent. I appreciate that. As I think you can see, there are many here that probably will not go back, and in that sense some of us are not "like minded." However, most of us try to be civil and give good advice as best we can. As in any situation, where many people give opinions, you can take what you like and leave the rest behind. One advantage here is that you can express any idea or concern you have and do it with no fear of retribution.

If this was covered under your Blue Cross program, we would charge you for all this advice. :):):)

As I said in another post, and here , I am supportive of the WBTS and of the decision to DF me. I know what I need to do to get back, and I am doing it. I never-theless would enjoy communicating with like minded people. Two of whom I have met on this db.

So I appreciate there is nothing anyone can do to help me at this point but talking to like minded people is encouraging.

    Hi DFshipped,
    You said...

:I am supportive of the WBTS and of the decision to DF me. I know what I need to do to get back, and I am doing it.

:I love the WBTS I love the brotherhood and the truth as expounded by the organization. I love the humility I have seen face to face with "senior" members of the society. I abhor the hypocisy that some individuals display in the name of the truth and how it has hurt genuine truth seekers.

I noticed that you mention the WBTS and how you love it and are supportive of it. I noticed too, that you never mentioned Jehovah. In what way do you think DFing has to do with God and if you think that it does, what would you have to do for God to "get back in" good standing with him? In your opinion, is being forgiven for your sin by the WBTS the same thing as being forgiven by God?

    Hi somebody,
That is a very good question.

    Answer to a good question.

Jehovah is the Judge. Judge makes the decision to forgive or not.
So WHY the Elders? Good question.
Their function is to read ( as best they can ) and like those in apostolic times they interpret to the best of their ability the signs or lack there of, of repentance and then make the decision.
Do we pray to or ask the Elders for forgiveness? NO !!!!!!!!
WE ask Jehovah. The Elders have the function of administering discipline as outlined by the WGTS. This they do in their judicial decisions.
Does a worldly judge make mistakes ? Yes. Does it result in imprisonment ? yes. It his persn still innocent even tho the judge erred ? Yes. Is he left in prison ? Yes.
Why do make this such a difficult subject?
If one is unfairly judged by the Elders.......feel proud to be associated with those judged by erring judges in ancient times. Can you fix it ? Ya bet ya !!!!. Prove by your works what you are and be reinstated. Hebrews 12 says " do not belittle the disciplne ..NOR GIVE OUT..... those who accept it yield peacable fruit. I dont think I would commit that dastardly deed again.

Somebody I hope this claifies things for you.

Amicus Latte and Mommy thanks for your kind words.

The Elders have the function of administering discipline as outlined by the WGTS.

What happened to the Bible? Ah, if the Bible was followed, then the JW's wouldnt be able to proudly shun you. Did you attend last weeks school and service meeting? Nice talk on humility. How to FORGIVE and NOT BE PROUD.

    Read Matthew 5:43-47:

"YOU heard that it was said, 'You must love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' However, I say to YOU: Continue to love YOUR enemies and to pray for those persecuting YOU; that YOU may prove yourselves sons of YOUR Father who is in the heavens, since he makes his sun rise upon wicked people and good and makes it rain upon righteous people and unrighteous. For if YOU love those loving YOU, what reward do YOU have? Are not also the tax collectors doing the same thing? And if YOU greet YOUR brothers only, what extraordinary thing are YOU doing? Are not also the people of the nations doing the same thing?

So, technically, you are the enemy of Jehovah's Witnesses. But, should they be shunning you? Read the above scripture.

Now, do you see how you are a victim and follower of COMMANDS OF MEN? I can see you have faith in Jehovah. I hope your faith in Jehovah will bring you to see the truth.

I will be going into this in MUCH more detail at a later date. I got a few nice juicy topics im working on

John 5:22 " For the Father judges no one at at all:"

    Is Jehovah the Father?

    Somebody:

Look at what the verse says immediately after:

    John 5:22
For the Father judges no one at all, but he has committed all judging to the Son

Theres your answer - Jehovah left His Son in charge of the Judging.
