This is a great question because so many posters on the verge of leaving the dubs ask this board what they should say at their JC.
The prevailing answer is that they should avoid the JC altogether because trying to reason with kangaroos at a kangaroo court is pointless and only draws out the misery for the one subjected to it.
If speaking out at a JC actually makes a difference, the responses to this thread may change that thinking.

This is an interesting point. Previously I was in agreement that attending a JC just empowers them. Grants them the relevence that they so desire. However, a non appearance at a JC means nothing is stated. Nothing is set out to consider later in private.
Well since the WT has a package for elders dealing with court appearances such as child custody, then perhaps a package of scriptures and reasoning should also be prepared for those called into a JC. While many are already very adept at this, (no doubt that's what led to their questioning the shifting sands document of the WT), but others could use a leg up.

This is profound. How dare that governing body put this kind of haunting burden on people.

A handy-dandy guidebook for JC victims. There's an idea.

It's been so long but when I had to sit in and/or chair a couple of judicial committees , I couldn't stand it. Who was I to make judgement. That was part of the beginning of my end of being a JW. I always took the side of the "condemned". My reasoning was the scripture of Jesus saying "Who will cast the first stone"? It didn't sit well with the main powers that be....but I was always look upon as not being 100% a part of the "good old boy network in my cong. At least I'm free of all of in now. Espedially the guilt.

I'm guessing - the good person had either oral or anal contact. The other was married to a homosexual, which was not grounds for divorce?
How many marriages broke up without gods approval. how many now think they are scripturally married but will be zapped with the billions for living in sin?
