Sometimes I wonder if the WT writers research what the Society has published previously or if they just write what comes into their heads.

*** w09 2/15 p. 7 par. 9 How Jesus’ Sayings Promote Happiness *** 9 Why are the mild-tempered ones happy? Because “they will inherit the earth,” said mild-tempered Jesus. He is the principal Inheritor of the earth. (Ps. 2:8; Matt. 11:29; Heb. 2:8, 9) However, mild-tempered “joint heirs with Christ” share in his inheritance of the earth. (Rom. 8:16, 17) In the earthly realm of Jesus’ Kingdom, many other meek ones will enjoy everlasting life.—Ps. 37:10, 11. *** w08 5/15 p. 3 par. 4 How Should We Treat Others? *** 4 The mild-tempered ones are happy because “they will inherit the earth.” Jesus, who was “mild-tempered and lowly in heart,” is the “appointed heir of all things” and is therefore the principal Inheritor of the earth. (Matt. 11:29; Heb. 1:2; Ps. 2:8) It was foretold that the Messianic “son of man” would have associate rulers in the heavenly Kingdom. (Dan. 7:13, 14, 21, 22, 27) As “joint heirs with Christ,” 144,000 mild-tempered anointed ones were to share in Jesus’ inheritance of the earth. (Rom. 8:16, 17; Rev. 14:1) Other mild-tempered ones will be blessed with everlasting life in the earthly realm of the Kingdom.—Ps. 37:11. *** w06 8/15 p. 6 “As in Heaven, Also Upon Earth” *** Likewise, God made arrangements to ensure the accomplishment of his purpose. Soon after the sin of our first parents, he announced a hope for their descendants—a “seed” who would undo the damage done. In fulfilling this prophecy, the primary part of the seed proved to be God’s Son, Jesus, who came to earth and offered his life as a sacrifice to repurchase mankind. (Galatians 3:16; Matthew 20:28) Once resurrected to heaven, Jesus would become the King of the Kingdom. Primarily, he is the meek one who inherits the earth together with selected faithful ones who are resurrected to heaven to become corulers in this Kingdom. (Psalm 2:6-9) In time, this government will take earth’s affairs in hand in order to accomplish God’s original purpose and transform the earth into a paradise. Countless millions of meek ones “inherit the earth” in the sense that they benefit from the rule of this Kingdom by Jesus Christ and his corulers.—Genesis 3:15; Daniel 2:44; Acts 2:32, 33; Revelation 20:5, 6. *** w04 11/1 p. 11 par. 9 Happy Servants of Jehovah *** 9 Mildness of temper is, however, not limited to our relationship with other humans. By willingly submitting ourselves to Jehovah’s sovereignty, we demonstrate that we are mild-tempered. The prime example in this regard is Jesus Christ, who while here on earth manifested mildness of temper and complete submission to his Father’s will. (John 5:19, 30) Jesus preeminently inherits the earth, for he is its appointed Ruler. (Psalm 2:6-8; Daniel 7:13, 14) He shares this heritage with 144,000 “joint heirs,” chosen from “among mankind” to “rule as kings over the earth.” (Romans 8:17; Revelation 5:9, 10; 14:1, 3, 4; Daniel 7:27) Christ and his associate rulers will govern millions of sheeplike men and women upon whom the prophetic psalm will find its happy fulfillment: “The meek ones themselves will possess the earth, and they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.”—Psalm 37:11; Matthew 25:33, 34, 46. *** it-1 p. 1201 Inheritance *** The anointed members of the Christian congregation are spoken of as having a heavenly inheritance, sharing Jesus’ inheritance as his “brothers.” (Eph 1:14; Col 1:12; 1Pe 1:4, 5) This includes the earth.—Mt 5:5.

    Just a p.s.

There are comments in the Watchtower which condescendingly state that the heavenly-hopers renounce all opportunity of living on the paradise earth - is that because they get it gift-wrapped to keep?

According to the minor fulfillment, the Levite priesthood were not given a land inheritance, so why should the greater fulfillment be any different?

searcher: thank you for this topic.

you asked: --"earth gift wrapped?" I added earlier " --annointed absentee landlords living in heaven?"

The sealed Brothers of Christ the 144 k are martyrs. They have to sacrifice what Jesus did, namely the RIGHT to LIVE (on earth). to BE on earth.

Jesus bought back what Adam lost, hence the second adam title.

The doctrine that the annointed own, control the earth is spawned from the greed, control-mania of the elite org. not meek at all. this is wrong.

    Keep it simple (Ossam's razor)

the Meek will live on the earth,-- or nobody.

My god, that's the most ridiculous reasoning I've ever seen from the Society.
