    wha happened?

When I saw this posted on Andersoninfo's thread, I was wondering what I missed:

The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Australia, both directly and through the resources of the religion of Jehovah's Witnesses, then launched an unprecedented wave of non-stop vicious persecution and attacks on both myself and my family. They have not stopped.

    What persecution occured?

I cannot post much bc my computer is broken. Sadly certain information in the post struck me as not correct. In fact, I now doubt the veracity of any part of the post. Will explain more when I have pc access.

Go back to the threads at the time the thing exploded.

The bullying of parents. The hurried removal of Bethel Representatives from australian soil when the Borg learned the enquiry was starting. (what had they done? what were the wt trying to hide??)

Children who were to do a bible reading at the Ministry School being told they were not to do their talk. (So they could claim the elders did not deal with children in the congo) Even the fact that the bethel issued instructions that the Kingdom Hall placard should have the Ministry school times removed.

    The whole thing sucked.

Oh - in case those reading JW.org didnt know: The Watchtower lawyers denied the very existence of the Faithful and Discreet Slave.

I feel for what Steven Unthank and his family appear to be going through as a result of speaking out against the Watchtower Society; it sounds a nightmare for him and his family.

At the same time, I wonder about the way Mr Unthank uses language and fails to provide examples of what "an unprecedented wave of non-stop vicious persecution and attacks" exactly consists of.

It would be helpful if he could provide actual instances of what I'm assuming are despicable and horrid acts carried out by the Watchtower Society. If even half-true, I would expect Mr Unthank to enlist protection of some sort from secular powers such as the Victorian state police.

Mr Unthank is known to some people who also post on this forum. Are they at liberty to shed any light on reasonable questions about what constitutes "non-stop vicious persecution" by the Watchtower Society?

This Steve Unthank used to be in one of my neighbouring congregations. I never knew him, but I heard of him. I can't believe I live so nearby yet I hear none of this. No-one hears anything. The WTS issue gag orders or something? The cases in Victoria would make national news if it were happening in the Catholic or Anglican churches or any other, but why does WT news stagnate in a small area?

Yet, you'd have to wonder that, if the Watchtower has been - and currently still is - engaging in "unprecedented" and "vicious" persecution against Mr Unthank and his family, why it is not more widely known exactly what those acts of persecution consist of.

As powerful as the Soviet Union was, even that state could not hide the specific acts it was carrying out against the witnesses.

Quite how the vicious and unprecedented persecutory acts of the Watchtower are that are still being carried out in the Australian state of Victoria against Mr Unthank and his family and no one knows what those acts consist of is a truly stupendous mystery.

Or perhaps Mr Unthank is being coyly hyperbolic? Is use of the English language often betrays a tendency to - how to put this politely? - exaggerate.

Oh dear smiddy, I was told to do this months ago - and have done so at least three times, each time with no answer. What on earth is so difficult about being prepared to answer very simple questions to explain what is meant by "unprecedented" and "vicious" acts of persecution?

For goodness sake, if Mr Unthank is prepared to let others such as Barbara Anderson dessiminate his verbatim condemnatory reports, why cannot he flesh out what acts have specifically been done against him and his family by the Watchtower Society and why on earth, if they are truly unprecedented and vicious acts, are the police not involved???

It is not confidence-inspiring to broadcast the kind of charges Mr Unthank does and then to slip away from giving us specifics when we ask. Perhaps the actual answer is as follows: The big bad Watchtower has had the temerity to offend Mr Unthank because its representatives did not fall to their knees and cry out abjectly, "We are so very sorry". They even tried to defend the charges he laid against them. Should they have done so? Quite frankly, No. They needed to have listened to the charges. But they didn't. They can be justifiably condemned for that. But as far as I can ascertain, they have not engaged in "unprecedented" and "vicious" acts of persecution - not unless these words have changed their meanings so completely they now encapsulate the wounded pride of a righteously indignant litigant. It seems it is not only the Watchtower's craven pride that is at hard work here.

After all the huffing and puffing has ebbed, I'd just like my simple question answered about what "unprecedented" and "vicious" acts of persecution has the Watchtower Society carried out against this man and his family?

P.S., would some kind person please forward this to Mr Unthank. I've given up sending him unanswered messages. Thank you in advance.
