Number of 'Anointed' down to about 4000

  Amazing

  In the mid-1980s, I visited a Congregation on business. The CO was there to give the Memorial Talk ... he stated that a GB member said that the GB believes that 98% of all Anointed are already in heaven (keep in mind this was about 1985) ... and so the CO calculated that merans 141,120 are in heaven and only 2,880 are still on earth ... this was used to scare me to not continue partaking ... but I did anyway. The Society got involved, and oddly enough, backed me up, and they went after the CO ... in an effort to find out which GB member would have said such a thing.

  Xenu are you sure? I was told this information by an Elder after he met G.Lösch. Is his current marriage his first one? Was he one of the "Given Ones"? Since, the Nethinim-teachings is a rather new invention I think someone should know.

  The thing that puzzles me is that by reducing the number of 'anointed' the WT are also reducing the time available for the big'A'

  At the 1999 conventions and in print in the Jan 15 2000 Watchtower, the WTB&TS tied themselves to a new point in time, the point at which, according to many Watchtower publications, the ingathering of Jesus anointed brothers was completed - 1935.

  The WTB&TS are saying that the great tribulation will start WITHIN THE LIFETIME OF THE LAST INDIVIDUALS TO HAVE BEEN ANOINTED!

  So why reduce the time available?

  Instead of being tied to 1914, we are now tied to the lifespan of 8661 individuals who were in their teens in 1935 or, according to the WT rumour mill, perhaps as few as 4000 90+year olds.

  Why do they say the 144000 was sealed in 1935 if the number continues to grow? This is just a shambles!

  Some possible answers:

  The 1935 anointed class is getting old, and some years they have simply forgotten to partake;

  1935 will soon be understood as marking the beginning of a "generation," and this whole circus act could go on for another 500 years;

  The Society keeps getting the Memorial partaker numbers mixed up with the perdophile list;

  Some congregations, anxious to elevate their stature in the circuit, are making up Memorial attendance and partaker figures;

  The number 144,000 is symbolic after all;

  As the org is progressively cleansed of apostates, the true spiritual status of closet anointed ones is being revealed.

  I think that by leaving the number out of print, it makes it more of an unsure thing with the R&F. That way it gets de-emphasized so they don't start wondering why the end isn't here when that number reaches close to 0. They also know that they can't be run by the loonys that claim to be anointed although young. Within a few years you won't even hear about this doctrine anymore, they might have a WT article that changes it.
