It sounds to me as if the Judge was a misogynist. and whoremongering would go right along with that. A real woman-hater, except when he wanted what she could offer.

    Harumph!

    1. no matter who wrote it, the 'judge' approved it !!!!

    2. ' mona lisa' ? hasn't it been suggested, the 'she' was really a 'he'... since da vinci's likes ran in that direction.

Her beauty and attractiveness allure man, and blind selfish man to higher and nobler things, and induce him to forget God.

"That woman you gave me, Jehovah, it was all HER fault."

See, this is why most women have very little respect for men. They can't or won't take responsibility for their actions.

I can't think of anything UGLIER than a "blamer."

In another article back then, women are compared to cows that tease the bull into mating with them when she's ready to concieve.

This article has the same attitude towards women.
They are less attractive and farther from perfection than what they were ment to be,
They are dangerous tricky creatures and cause men to sin and thus die.
Be very careful of these very powerful witchy women.

    What a Sicko!
I hope this was just the view of Rutherford and his followers and not men in general back then.

    Hi all:

This book is almost cartoonlike on a number of levels. Rutherford describes coal as falling from some sort of mineral belt in the atmosphere to various soil depths around the earth. With respect to his characterisation of women, it almost seemed as if Norman Leer were the ghost writer. LOL.

    Well,someone sure had an imagination.

    Tms,
I have the seventh in the Studies in the Scriptures series and it's far out too, almost entertaining till you realize he was serious.

Many poets and writers of prose have employed all the adjectives known to describe the beauty of women who lived when Greece was at the zenith of its glory and power. If the women of that time were beautiful, then the daughters and granddaughters of Eve were far more beautiful. In the days of ancient Greece the race had greatly degenerated; and in the present time the degeneration is even greater.

It is only by comparison that we can now approximate the natural adornment of the women that lived on earth in the time of Noah.

I have another way of looking at this, TMS.

Since we are so far from perfection, (*cough, cough*) not only are women uglier but our concept of what is beautiful has also been corrupted. Halle Berry is fine? Hell no!! She's a troll, for cryin' out loud. Had she been alive during Adam and Eve's time, they'd of banned her from public sight – so hideous her appearance.

    So, what am I saying?

That by today's standards, Eve was a Plain Jane if there ever was one – looked something like the hottie in this painting:

... and would hardly stand out in a crowd of Miss America contestants or even at the local Mall. After all, these days we don't know what 'real' beauty is, eh?

I'm sick. My thinking has been horribly flawed by 6000 yrs of human imperfection and I admit it. But know what? Halle is FOYNE!!!

Screw the Judge and his Creation book!

    t- "I'll take Halle" – jay.

: The popular Rutherford quote about "a bag of bones and
a hank of hair" is actually from Shakespeare, isn't it?

    Rudyard Kipling.

I agree teejay: Halle is HOT!
