The meetings were cancelled in this area with only 2 inches of snow for the "storm''. lol
A month ago the CO had the meeting cancelled because it was a bit tracherous, which I thought was a good call....
Years`ago, if we cancelled a meeting it took until one hour before the Presiding Overseer would finally decide to cancel.
Today's JWs are wimps.
Don't want to risk the law suit of some one dying on the way to the king dum hall.

You never find Jesus or the apostles calling off a meeting because of bad weather.

I always voted to err on the side of caution and cancel the damn meeting!
It is so "normal" and "rational" to cancel a meeting due to any kind of weather concerns.
It's not like someone will get paid less if they don't go, or will have to make up with extra meetings before summer vacation.
They do so much, so calling it off for 2 inches of snow, icy roads, too much sunshine, a little rain, etc. etc. is a great idea.

It is a new directive from WT headquarters,not the C.O. that in the event of a pedofile report or inclement weather they MUST call WT Legal to get direction.

They announce plenty of meetings for field service before, during, and after the COs service week just to look industrious. At least half of them get canceled (text messaging) by the elders after the CO is gone due to a lack of time to oversee them.
Anyway, it makes them look good though with the CO. Quite some players, the elders.
