And I've got more news for you. Neither has Jesus been installed as King in heaven yet, certainly not in 1914. Neither have Satan and the demons been hurled to earth yet, nor have the riders of the apocalypse ridden yet, nor has the 'short period of time' commenced. And neither has anyone been resurrected yet.

MASIMBA, first of all, welcome to the forum. Please pardon the few around here who lack simple common decency toward others.

When I was first waking up and making my exit, I was also interested in many of the unique interpretations offered up by the WT society on the book of Revelation. Turns out, finding the WT flaws was the easy part. Reassembling everything has taken some hard study - not that I claim to have it all figured out.

Keep at it. It's a fun ride.

Everyone neglects this part of the book of Revelation. There is a whole lot of internal and external evidence pointing to the fact that Revelation was written prior to Jerusalem's destruction in 70 c.e. If put into the proper context the Revalation should parallel many of the events that occurred after Jesus death leading up to the destruction of the Great Harlot (who was unfaithful to God?) Jerusalem.

It is a very interesting study if you have the time....the book will make a lot more sense too.

American Christians in general, have always thought they were some "special" chosen "class" and that includes those in the 19th Century Adventist Movement in Americafrom which the WT and all of Charles Taze Russels's doctrines and ideas came from. every single doctrine, prophesy and interpretation.

The organization was lily white and mostly in America, for how many years ? Look at the members of the GB , they now have ONE black man on the GB, but this was not the case for about the first hundred years it was all white men who led this organization and during Apartheid in South Africa the Society had segregated Kingdom Halls and also there were segregated Kindgdom Halls in the South in the US until non-wittnesses, Baptists and Catholics and Quakers and other Christian groups, not including the WT, changed that by giving their lives for civil rights.

The Watchtower is and always has been a male chauvinist, a male power bastian, and particularily a WHITE, MALE HIERARCHY , led by SELF ELECTED MALES, similar to the Chinese Communist Party leadership or the Taliban, or the Catholic Church.

The starters of the religion may have been white, im not disputing that but i take offence that you label me and many others into that group. We had nothing to do with starting or running the thing. Stereotyping implies that i am guilty of that. I thought we had moved on pass stereotyping people based on race.

Regarding South Africa, i have never been there nor was i a part of apartheid.

While I agree with how the WTS picks its heirarchy, thats not my fault because im white. That makes them racist, it doesnt make all white people racist etc.
