Wow - MsGrowingGirl20, when I first saw your thread title I thought, "Uh oh! Another hard luck story" but boy, I am pleasantly surprised!
I've begun to think in more recent years that the iron-like grip the organization has on inidivduals is slowly but steadily weakening. I'd like to think these sorts of "experiences" will become more frequent as time passes.
I'm glad you've had a positive experience because when others leave they often remain under the Watchtower's spell - especially when it comes to daring to question the organization's authority and exclusive claims to the truth.
I'd still advise some caution - because some former witnesses remain ambivalent about contact with others on the outside and can sometimes be very punitive in their comments to other former JWs.
