Welcome lriddle80, I am glad that you are able to discriminate between a religion and a dangerous cult. Anytime an organization and its leaders promotes that its members shun members and ex-members for disagreeing with the organization's leaders than I feel it is a dangerous cult.

How many JW family and friends do you have? After 13 years I would imagine that you have more non-JW friends than JW friends.

Basically, my mom/dad/sister/brother/grandma/aunts/uncles...pretty much everyone. As far as friends, I really didn't have any in the congregation, so that wasn't a problem. I actually don't have many friends now, more aquaintances...except for my husband and son...I've always been kind of a loner anyway, so it's no big deal. I guess if something were to happen to my husband/son I could make some of the aquaintances more than that...but in the meantime...

Hi lriddle80, What do you like to do? Life is always better doing activities that you enjoy with people that enjoy being with - loner or not. Sometimes I like to be alone, but most of the time I like doing things with people, who you like.
