A day when you just HAVE to have a taco? And you have to go home and make it yourself because there is no taco like a home-made taco? I'm running low on salsa, too, so I went to the market and stocked up on tomatoes, jalapenos, onions, cilantro. I'm canning salsa tomorrow!!!

say Talesin, what's your favorite salsa? I like lots of them, but especially the home-made Mexican-restaurant-style red stuff. I like the green stuff too, with tomatillos, I have to say.

The best salsa of my life was in a little dive in Manhattan Beach. They served a "junior" burritto that was one of the best damn meals I ever had. It was red.

humbled, I LOVE jalapenos! That is my salsa now, since I don't eat raw tomatoes ... finely chopped jalapenos, and I use tablespoonsful... yum!

You don't really even need salsa. Just sprinkle the taco with diced jalapeno, onion and cilantro.
