I got it! About five years ago they started drumming the streets for Memorial attendees. Everyone welcome. About the same time they started dropping flyers, the number of memorial partakers went up.
It's unsuspecting newcomers who are partaking, who managed somehow to sleep through the carefully orchestrated talk!
Or else it's prodigal children attending the event against their will.

Sorry but it may take up to 3 years of not seeing you at the Kingdom Hall before they will stop calling.
They are actually instructed to call on irregulars to attend, so its nothing unusual.
Eventually though they will stop, when its quite certain that your not interested anymore .

Actually I remember distributing small tracts back in the 70's with a public invitation on them,
something certainly not new .
And yes numbers are very important to the WTS. on many various aspects.
How many publishers they have how, how many pieces of literature have been sold or now days placed.
The WTS uses these numbers to help them decided onto what doctrines maybe needed to further proliferate their published goods.
The Truth is the WTS. operates very similar to a business that creates its own products and trains people exactly their way to distribute
those products to the open public. Pose any complaints or arguments to those products and you will yanked and quickly muzzled.

They are wasting their time if they try and get me to the REJECT Astaroth Party. They are rejecting salvation regardless of whether from Jesus or Satan, because they dishonor both sides and try to earn salvation as the Jews supposedly had to. Rejecting Astaroth because they waste all their time running around with these wastes of paper instead of honoring the Easter eggs, rabbits, chicks, and other fertility items. And they reject Jesus by not partaking of the emblems--either way, they are rejecting both hopes.
There is precisely one way I am attending. And that is if a bunch of joke-hova's filthy angels show up and physically jam me out of my apartment (and prevent me from grabbing a Ouija board, placed right where I can grab it in a big hurry in case they try that crap) and into the dump during the party. They would also have to stand guard during the party so I cannot bolt (and make a scene on my way out) or disrupt their rejection of Astaroth. And if those angels are going to do that, why would they stop there--getting me forced right back into the cancer under a family that is Pharisaic to the extreme, pious-sneering and all. And they wonder why I want Satan and His Demons to bind every single one of the angels.

I am down as a Do Not Call, a Bro either didn't know that, or ignored it and tried to give me an invite, which I refused.
The last Mem. I went to was 2008 (it was my last Meeting as well, 5yrs ago today ! Whoop !) , they just don't know how to take a hint do they ?

Somebody came by my house with an invite, just random, I wasn't in the religion in this area. I listened to her whole spiel, then I asked to be put on the do not call list. They come by way too often here, it gets annoying. I tried not answering the door, but then they would just come again the next week. Plus they stand outside the supermarket, once they approached me when I sat in the car.
So I decided to put an end to the constant visits. The lady was shocked, trying to figure out how I knew what a "do not call list" was, I guess. She said, OK, I will talk to the brothers. As if she, being female, cannot do this herself.

This thread is either ironic, or typical as I just got back from field service. The territory card on the back had an address listed as do not call, and what do you think happened? Nobody answered, but they were told beforehand not to go to that door SMH. My partner and I skipped a few houses in lieu of what happened in Tulsa. Not the greatest neighborHOOD, with more than a few pitbulls.
