Yes, but then I started a "research" project were I would note down the stuff said, and research it later. Prove or disprove everything to yourself. I've gotten to the point where I now listen more intently than ever before. I am still sometimes angry, but it's not as bad anymore. I'm trapped like so many here, but my own therapy is to just do the research myself.

Yeah. I have gotten pretty upset. Here is what you do. Go to the bathroom, sit on the toilet, and look at the news headlines on your phone. Get some reading in for about 15 minutes, then head on back.

My wife [ Newly Enlightened] kind of flipped out night after one Thur night meeting...

There was a man that started coming to the meetings [We found out later that he was a convicted child molester]. But he would get up from his seat and follow all the young little girls to the back and try to sneak a peak in the ladies bathroom. My daughter Gojira was about 10 yrs old at the time and my wife went with her everywhere because of this creep. He was also getting touchy-feelly' with the older sisters as well. The sisters all started complaining to the elders about him and they felt threatened. So one Thurs night, we were sitting in the back because I was running the sound booth. My wife got up with our daughter and went to the bathroom with her. He followed them. My wife told me later that she caught him standing there holding the woman's bathroom door open for them. My wife told him to go sit back down or she was going to yell at him.

After the meeting he immediately came up and touched my wife's upper arm and asked what her problem was. OH GOOD LORD! She shoved him away from her and started yelling at him and making a rousing scene. The KH went deathly still and quiet while my wife reamed him a new one. The elders came up and tried to get me to calm my wife down and get control of her. After her several minute tirade, I loudly told the elders that if you had been doing your job of protecting the congregation it wouldn't have gotten this far! almost every sister in that hall applauded!

The elders immediately hauled us in the back room and started to criticize her for the scene. We told them that after all the complaints the sister's have been making, that my wife was doing THEIR JOB that they should have been doing all along, PROTECTING THE CONGREGATION from perverts! They let us go, without even any more criticism. But after that, there was always an elder sitting or walking beside the creep. After a few meetings of that, he quit coming.

Buy yourself a pair of Airforce earplugs to insert during meetings. Tell the stooges they're draining your ears or something and sit and space out.

I have seen at least one person totally lose it at the KH and an ambulance had to be called -eventually. They let this person carry on for quite a while before someone decided they might need medical treatment. Another time a person had to be warned by the elders to quit approaching others and harassing them or they would call the cops. Sad really as the extreme mind control of jws causes many of jws to have these "breaks". Saw another sister who was so worried her hubby was cheating on her she would go around waining others to leave him alone. Someone had to tell her to seek medical attention. Really sad.

I gave an elder a piece of my mind, after a public talk about the dangers of higher education. He got that glazed "I'm not listening" look and gave me a line about it being everyone's conscience. Yeah, but your organization just dissed it from the stage!

I think I get away with a bit more because they are still trying to kill me with kindness.

Newly Enlightened didn't just flip out, she laid the smackdown on the pervert that was sexually harassing all the sister, and she laid the smackdown on the two elders who were trying to pull her to the backroom and in the process she almost made both of those elders trip over the chairs. As soon as they grabbed her arm to pull her, she did not like that, and shoved the elders away from her. The pervert at one point tried to hug her, oh big mistake there MR Pervert, she shoved him so hard he would have fallen over if it wasn't for the chair stopping him. I remember the entire hall was silent, no one was talking at all, they were all watching the soap opera unfolding live.

Hawk (A.K.A Dad) also forgot to mention this little scene she made in the KH.......The subject was about regular pioneers that didn't get their time. Scriptures were read regarding making a vow to Jehovah and not keeping it, regardless of what life may throw at us or unforeseen circumstances. Within just a few minutes, my daughter ran out of the hall sobbing uncontrollably.
