I went to Pioneer School, three times

It seems that repetition is needed to keep the JWs on track= doing it the WT way..

    Moshe,

Were you around when the book studies were into the book "The Finished Mystry"? It was in the 1970s. I bet we went though that damn book 5 times. All it talked about was dates and the UN.

I went once. I never understood the reason that if preaching is so important, and the pioneer school is so helpful in preaching, why the pioneer school isn't open to all JW's to attend.

I went once, once was enough!!!! It was a good way to stroke some already inflated egos and look for someone to marry.

i was never worthy of pioneer school thankfully - my pioneering stint lasted about 8/9 months....then they kicked me out for not having 100 hr ave and the requisite 7 bible studies at least 4 of which were making progress. ohhh and my skirts were too short.... but i don't think they had pioneer school back then anyway - i'm pretty sure that came later.

And what's so sacred about the text book for the school? They take them back when school is over.

The Watchtower is just another ordinary human religious organization that doesn't realize the Bible isn't the book they think it is.

All the special schools are a pathetic and feeble effort to boost morale.

    30 hour pioneers?

I remember when most of the servants all got in 30 hours every month. Pre book study service = 4 hrs. per month. Wed bible study night 4 hours per month. Friday night street corner work = 4 hours per month. Saturday2 hours door to door and 1 hour magazine route calles = 12 hours per month. Sunday morning field service 2 hours and 1 hour back calls = 12 hours per month. Total = 36 hours per month.

That was my routine from the time I started taking doors myself at 5 years old in 1950 old until I left home at 21 in 1967. That's a total of around 6000 hours by the time I reached 21. Add the 420 hours at long 60 minute meetings not including prep and travel time. That comes to a total of over 12000 hours of the most valuable youth time you could ever have. 12000 hours of peak mental abilities to learn. They say it takes 10000 hours to become an expert at something. I am an expert at NOTHING.

    My short story (for Rebecca)

    Pioneered in the 70's

Went to Community College when my son was born

Served as an Elder and worked hard in a good job.

Had an argument with a CO, and lost. Had to step down as an Elder

    Read COC, and became critical.

    Still critical.
