Look at the shift in CONTEXT used by the Watchtower for their own purposes of misidentifying ex-members and slandering them.

First, read the exact target of the statement in the actual scripture.

7 I say this because many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist. 8 Watch out that you do not lose what we [a] have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. 9 Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take them into your house or welcome them. 11 Anyone who welcomes them shares in their wicked work.

Now read the FORCED CONTEXT of the Society:

"All faithful Christians need to take to heart the serious truth that God inspired John to write: “He that says a greeting to [an expelled sinner who is promoting an erroneous teaching or carrying on ungodly conduct] is a sharer in his wicked works.”—2 John 11.

ISN'T IT AMAZING? They have taken a chainsaw to the scripture and stuffed a phony interpretation as a NEW and ERRONEOUS target into the crack!

Being limited by the laws of the worldly nation [s]..... forbid us to kill apostates

In other words, since secular authorities have a higher moral standard than the Watchtower, we cannot legally kill anyone that disagrees with us.

But, in a perfect Watchtower world, we would kill every last one of 'em !!

Gee, why do people want to leave?

    Jwfacts,

do you talk about the "length" of time of disfellowshipping in your article? Especially when you compare the time from when the apostle paul mentioned the disfellopshipping in 1 corinthians til the time he mentions the man repenting in 2 corinthians. One would think that that should be a guide for how long one should be disfellowshipped in light of a persons repentance.

These were great posts, thank's you all! Mr. Grundy you know how strange people on quicksand doctrine behave, once upon a time in the Kingdom Hall is was good to review all those wonderful magazines we had dating back to 1920 in the book storage room. No longer is it recommended to review old magazines and anyone who is studying those lumps of coal magazines are looked at with caution.

Tell the elders in your Kingdom Hall you desire to read all the Study In the Scriptures books, or "Face The Facts" by Rutherford and now I am being watched by Agent Smith. The brothers at Bethel wish they could 'wave a magic wand' and poof! Everything not flattering would disappear!

Thank's all you good people, Mr Grundy I must say your website is now ranked number two with great content, I enjoy how you do not cheat in journalism like Julius Streicher's contextomony.

I can't think of the great example of heinous journalism, he is loathed by the last of the real investigative journalist, it's been years since that class and I can't think of the 1950s-1960s writer who took Streicher's method to a whole new level dishonesty. You are honest and do not cheat or plagarize and I appreciate your academic honesty, Terry's has the gift of honest writing too! Thank's for being honest you all, the cheaters are already being spoken about as hacks!
