  DAGNEY- So sorry you are going through this. As well as the possibly hundreds of others going through this. " Beer , cake... I need something....LOL" I think a little cannabis would come in handy right about now. Jesus freaking Christ. This thing has turned into such a nightmare it's like a freak sideshow from the circus. Any minute now I'm expecting midgets, carnies , one eyed weasels, and Ted Jaracz himself to come tumbling out of a closet from somewhere. Can this thread or AWAA thing get any weirder ?

  I don't understand what part of " just shut the whole damned AWAA Facebook page down " that these folks don't get or understand but after reading all of these pages and putting my long winded post and opinion about it on pg. 5 I believe- I truly believe it's not a priority to these folks to protect identities of ex-JWs who have been added without their permission. Otherwise they'd close up shop and start the association over again - more carefully hopefully. I just don't get it unless it's pride, arrogance, stubborness, or ignorance. Or a combination of any of those- plus saving face.

  I do hope you haven't suffered serious repercussions here my friend. We are here for you and that goes for any of the rest of you who may have been hurt in relationships by this innattentiveness and negligence

  Oh thank you Mr. Flipper, but I'm fine. I was off by 4/8. I'm not sure who saw what in my feed, but I haven't heard a thing. Although I wondered if my old BS had seen "Anti-Watchtower Activist" in my feed or however it works and was mad at me because I didn't hear from her until today. But she was moving. rebel8 is the one that was outed, and I hope that can be repaired.

  My former bible student has her pinky toe still in the org, but she doesn't like to rag on the WTBS. She still has friends inside. But I want them to be drawn to the groups I'm in and not get weirded out by a title they may find offensive. There are friends who have wives and children who are still in. It may not work that way, but that's what I think. And even though it's been implied by several during this debaucle, that nobody is doing anything about helping people out of the WT but AAWA, that is not true. Why even make such a statement?

  To members of the AAWA board of directors:

  The WT believes that the bible is perfect and infaulable. They made human mistakes - they took the "two witness rule" to be perfect, and with it they hurt people. When that became apparent, the WT GB did not want to take responsibility for their mistakes in judgement. They lied, distorted, and buried their heads in the sand. You know the story.

  To the the good people on the AAWA board of directors: Is THIS the sort of public responsibility you condone? To hurt people and take no positive action to right it? I assume you want to make right, and genuinely help people.

  Everyone on this board can look up the AAWA website and look at the members of the board. We know you you are and we know who isn't speaking up.

  We know you didn't intend to out anyone - but with the best intentions you did. You are part of a group that screwed up. Now it's up to you to decide how to react. Cedars may have his head up his ass - but I know not all of you do. You don't have to stand and be victims of this now as well.

  I am saying this as a fellow ex-jw: This isn't right. We all know it isn't right. Please don't have to stand by and through silence support this.

  THIS is the sign that something is seriously wrong with AAWA. Learn from the past, see the signs, and take action now. Helping people starts with taking a stand for the individual - not some stupid facebook group.

  wow....just....wow. Been working long shifts and only getting caught up now.

  Gotta say, I'm disappointed by the response by the AAWA president. I liked Cedars and was one of the first to volunteer. But how on earth can you say it's okay to keep 1,000+ names who were force-added and may not know it on your website because you currently have "no proof" they were harmed. Ummm...it's early days. Takes time to form a judicial committee. Who knows what kind of s**t storm might be in the works for these people?

  Why can you not do the right thing? I don't care how, when, who, or why it happened, but you have NO BUSINESS adding anyone to your site without their knowledge and now that you know it happened - MAN UP and do the right thing. Let those 1,000 people choose if they want to be affiliated with you.

  Confidentiality in this environment is number one. Cedars even used a fake name to register his company (is that legal?) because he's protecting himself from being outed. Can you not give others the same respect????

  Just a final thought. If the name was less angry and aggressive and in your face, it might not be such a problem for those who have been outed. It's one thing to look for help and support when you are hurt and feeling down, but quite another to join an activist group that is anti everything you stand for.

  P.S. Jgnat....I had to laugh at one of your earlier posts. My mother used to say, "what am I? chopped liver?" when no one was listening.

  Not really trying to be funny... just trying to drive a point home for the AAWA board of directors.

  The people on the AAWA board that stay silent are the same as the BP board members that stood silent.

  They didn't care about other people.

  They didn't care who they harmed. They didn't show that they cared about anything but their own interests.

  They only cared that their figures are growing.

  Am I wrong?

  Members of the AAWA board, please speak up! If you *really* want to help people, speak up and help! It starts here. Get your own ducks in a row. Then take on the WT.
