Nope. I asked hubby late this morning if he was gonna go, and he said probably not. As the time drew nearer, he said, 'why don't we go visit your mother?' So hanging with the in laws is what he wanted to do instead, which thrilled them cuz they aren't JWs and were amazed their son in law would rather be with them than at the meeting!

Julia this is really good news about your hubby. Slowly but surely mate, hang in there :-)
We skipped it today too, as we did the special talk last week. We only got one text to ask where we were, and that was from our dear fiend Sister T who thought we were there, and asked where we were sitting. No elder, not even our Group Overseer has been in touch, despite us being MIA for more than a month. Jeez, its lucky we're not dying or anything!

Ha ha just wait til you're seen going to an art class that's on the same building as a churh or having coffee wit a friend of the opposite sex. Those are things members here have done and been hounded for by the elders! My hubby does'by care if I have coffee with friends of the opposite sex but apparently the elders do when they wanna df u!!

I finally got a text from an elder late last night. I thought 'here we go!' but all it said was, quote "Did I get your time for last month?" Ahhhh, you can feel the genuine love and concern can't ya!?

I thought all the GB members were subject to arrest in Austraila after failing to appear in the Stephen Unthank trail last year!

Seriously, Oubliette? I guess they got out of it somehow, or Jackson would have been picked up at immigration. Unless he travels under a false name...
Can anyone tell us what his talk was about? I could ask a JW friend from the hall, but I'm not going to get an analytical answer.

I've heard from a fader that the talk was great. Geoff is a real comedian and was hilarious. The talk was mostly about how nice it is to be a JW and what a loving organisation it is to belong to. There was no mention of the Generation or GB changes. He did have a go at homosexuals, and how JWs should not follow fashion, since gays run the fashion industry.
