WASBLIND!!! YOU ARE AN ABSOLUTE GENIUS!!!!

" The Greeks believed that everyone had a protective spirit or daemon who attended his birth and watched over him in life. This spirit had a mystic relationship with the god on whose birthday the individual was born . The Romans also subscibed to this idea."____Reasoning from the Scriptures book page 69"

So what is said about death in the pagan world? Jesus' death is remembered, right? So what is said about death? I can use the same logic as that in the "Reasoning from the Scriptures" quote for death. Of course, Jesus said to "do this is rememberance of me" BUT the quote you mention still does apply to those who have died, right? RIGHT!!

The US Supreme Court has held that some traditions once exclusively religious are now mainly secular. Christmas is a great example. In the past. Reindeer sand Santas would be viewed as Christian celebrations not allowed on government property. The standard should be contemporary, not centuries old. Actual displays of Jesus are still forbidden. I do not even consider any pagan gods or Jehoover on my birthday.

Yes Jeff, There's quiet a few things in the Bible that folks celebrate annually. Why not the day you were born ?

Also, The WTS states that the belief in Angels is jus' a mere " Notion" on the part of people who were incline to believe

" The Romans also subscibed to this Idea...This notion was carried down in human belief and is reflected in the gaurdian angel "___Reasoning from the Scriptures book page 69

Folks better use the good sense God gave 'em, and stay away from yards wit' a mean dog

as we say here in the south

Or That'll be all she wrote !!!!! which means the end. Dead , done, over and cold !!!!!!!!!

"At length Je´hu came to Jez´re·el, and Jez´e·bel herself heard of it. And she proceeded to paint her eyes with black paint and do her head up beautifully and to look down through the window." (2 Kings 9:30)

The Bible mentions makeup here and it's a bad person that puts it on, and a death occurs. Birthdays are forbidden since someone is killed at the two birthdays in the Bible. The cross reference in the NWT at 2 Kings 9:30 points to 1 Peter 3:3.

"And do not let YOUR adornment be that of the external braiding of the hair and of the putting on of gold ornaments or the wearing of outer garments." (1 Peter 3:3)

I wonder why they didn't make this into a rule.
