you and I are probably about the same vintage, wonderful years ! I too was like that child who found out Santa Clause was a bloody fake, it was saddening that the people I had put my trust in, as a child and for decades as an adult, had been making a fool of me.
It was unneccessary, I am perfectly capable of making a fool of myself.

I'm new here too. That sure WAS a fascinating experience. I was in a congo with some bros. who clearly had homosexual tendencies. As long as they kept them in check, they were in good standing. In two cases the homo bros. got married, really trying to become hetero, but they both couldn't handle marriage and wound up getting DFed after they went homo in conduct and couldn't handle the marital sexual due. So I suspect you are right that the official party line is that homosexual urges and desire are OK---just don't give in to them.
I can see a BOE really getting upset at a R&F bro. who would relate this party line in a talk to the congo. Of course, if s.o. in authority (like the CO) were to do so, that would be different! Most likely "loyal, mature" borg men would never do so however, b/c of the problems this would cause (like you experienced). There are probably other doctrinal/organizational matters like this too.
Anyway, thx for the experience.

None of us have an original script do we? Thankfully some of these mens behavior and sheer stupidity is the catalyst for us not vilifying others anymore, and waking up our senses.
