How many times has our government supplied weapons to groups and countries who then become our enemies. Didn't we start hiring mercenaries in the Revolutionary War, maybe before in the French Indian Wars.
Designs To take it a step further, how many times has our goverment supplied weapons and/or aid to groups and countries that were deemed the lesser of two evils or that shared the same interests as the US goverment?

Weapons sales is a huge part of the american govt economy and tools of influence. That has been the case for decades, no matter which wing is in power. Its the military industrial complex that is meshed w the govt.
